Dear Forum Members,
Glory be to Jesus Christ!

I have seen several priestmonks in ROCOR in old photos wear a type of skufia(?) that I have not been able to name-it is not the "ribbed" skufia one normally sees, but has a soft, more rounded top, with a high soft brim abound the hat. Pictures of those I have seen wearing it include:
Fr. Vladimir of Jordanville
Archbishop Averky
Fr. Adrain (Archbishop Andrew) of New Diveyevo

Several of the pictures are in the book "Father Seraphim Rose" by Hieromonk Damascene. Unfortunately, my computer is on the fritz and I am unable to attach any links to photos.

Does anyone know what kind of hat/skufia this is?
Thank you!

Skufia - for working around the grounds ... could possibly be worn at liturgy but I would not ... I would change to a dress skufia.
