Reported on RISU.org:

Quote
The first Ukrainian Catholic Church in the United States was established in Shenandoah in 1884.

The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, 630 Laurel St., Reading, was founded in 1906.

But the Rev. Andriy Rabiy doesn't believe there's ever been a Ukrainian Catholic church in Lancaster County. Until now.

Rabiy, pastor of the Reading parish, will preside at the first service of the Ukrainian Catholic Mission in the sanctuary at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 E. Delp Road, at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

The next two services will be at 1:30 p.m. on March 10 and March 24.

The whole story:

Our Mission Parish in Lancaster has a Patron Saint!

On April 8, Metropolitan-Archbishop Stefan Soroka has confirmed and blessed
a request to place our mission parish in Lancaster under the protection and
care of the holy Apostle Andrew, the First Called. He was an apostle of Christ
who preached the Gospel on the hills of Kyiv and south of Ukraine.

From now on, our mission parish will be called St. Andrew the Apostle Ukrainian Catholic mission parish!

Holy Apostle Andrew, intercede and pray to the Almighty God for our mission parish and its faithful people!

The mission parish currently holds services in English and Ukrainian at 1:30PM every Sunday at St. John Neumann Roman
Catholic Church (601 East Delp Road, Lancaster).

Our Ukrainian Catholic Mission in Fort Wayne Indiana is also dedicated to St. Andrew. Many years!
