English metrical paraphrase of the Te Deum:

"Holy God, We Praise Thy Name"
by Unknown Author, c. 1775
Translated by Clarence A. Walworth, 1820-1900

1. Holy God, we praise thy name;
Lord of all, we bow before Thee.
All on earth Thy scepter claim,
All in heaven above adore Thee.
Infinite Thy vast domain,
Everlasting is Thy reign.

2. Hark! the glad celestial hymn
Angel choirs above are raising;
Cherubim and seraphim,
In unceasing chorus praising,
Fill the heavens with sweet accord:
Holy, holy, holy, Lord!

3. Lo, the apostles' holy train
Join Thy sacred name to hallow;
Prophets swell the glad refrain,
And the white-robed martyrs follow,
And from morn to set of sun
Through the Church the song goes on.

4. Holy Father, holy Son,
Holy Spirit, three we name Thee;
Though in essence only one,
Undivided God we claim Thee
And, adoring, bend the knee
While we own the mystery.

The Lutheran Hymnal
Hymn #250
Text: Luke 2:14, based on the Te Deum
Author: Unknown, c. 1775
Translated by: Clarence A. Walworth, 1853, alt.
Titled: "Grosser Gott, wir loben dich"
Tune: "Grosser Gott"
1st Published in: Allgemeines Gesangbuch
Town: Vienna, 1775

Not sure when he will be officially installed, and not sure when we'll be starting to pray for Pope Francis in our Divine Liturgies, and during Matinal and Vesperal services, etc... but it certainly sounds nice. Also, I think I saw somewhere on Facebook that Pope Francis seems to have a slight background in the Eastern Rite, which I found reassuring.

The Holy Father was the ordinary for Eastern Catholics without their own bishop in Argentina.

Ahh... Good to know, because I know there are a few Melkite and UGCC communities throughout South America, actually, wasn't that where Patriarch Sviatoslav was from, too? Trying to think.

Congratulations to all my Catholic friends on the election of their new Pope, Francis. May God grant him many years of rightly teaching the word of the Lord, good health and happiness.

I love the motto on his episcopal coat of arms:
Miserando atque eligendo
"Pitiable but chosen"

He really is a "catholic" Catholic!

Pope Francis is an Argentine citizen of Italian heritage, being the son of Italian immigrants to Buenos Aires. He is a Jesuit and has taken the name of St. Francis of Assisi. He was the "Ordinary for Eastern-rite faithful in Argentina," according to the Vatican Press Office release.

He is the first Jesuit to be elected Pope!

And it might be that his chosen papal name is instead in honor of St. Francis Xavier, a Jesuit.

Axios!! Axios!! Axios!!

As we watch the installation of His Holiness, let's also remember each man called to lead one of our Churches. It's lonely at the top. May the Lord bless His Holiness, Pope Francis, and also all of the Primates, Patriarchs, Metropolitans, and Bishops of all the Apostolic Churches.

A noble saint, Francis Xavier. I imagine with their mutual Italian heritage, that St. Francis of Assisi was the inspiration. Nonetheless, Pope Francis appears to be universally respected East and West.

This may be the fire the New Evangelization has been requiring!
