My children are all grown. My grandchildren are being taught conflicting things. The world teaches against godly things for that is all it knows.
1 John 2:15-17 Love not the world, nor the things in the world. If any one love the world, the love of the Father is not in him; because all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world is passing away, with its lusts, but he that does the will of God abides for eternity.
My family teaches our grandchildren to value godward faith and their relationship with God through Christ over all worldly things. We teach them to disbelieve the world's false claims. We pray they will abstain themselves from fleshly lusts, drugs and fornication which are but selfish idolatries. But in the end what result may come we cannot know.
