Mitred Arch-Priest Msgr. Stephen Hrynuck celebrated the 75th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood, at St. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church in Olyphant, PA, where he was pastor from 1950 through 2008.

May God grant many more years to His beloved servant, Father Stephen!

Looking at the photos. two things strike me as sad, the sparseness of faithful in attendance on such an occasion and the fact that no hierarch appears to have been present on such a momentous anniversary.

Many years,

Neil

Actually, His Grace Metropolitan Stefan Soroka was present in the church on Holy Thursday and congratulated Monsignor Hrynuck at that time.

Many more years to Father Stephen--and what a beautiful church! (We don't often get to see churches like that here in the South!)

Axios! Na Mnohaja i blahaja Lita! Didn't he broadcast a live Sunday Liturgy for years in the Scranton area?

Wow. This is rather interesting... Not everyday that you hear of a priest making a 3/4 Century milestone like this. Most of the time, they do make it to their 50th Anniversary of ordination, but... 75th? It seems like God really wanted Msgr. Stephen to serve a long, long time. I commend him for doing so. May God grant him many, blessed years!
