Glory to Jesus Christ!
On Bright Friday (Gregorian Calendar), the Monks of Holy Resurrection Monastery celebrated a special divine liturgy in Mundelein, IL at the University of St. Mary of the Lake.

In addition to these fathers, the Bishop of Toledo, Most Reverend Leonard Blair, Bishop of Toledo concelebrated with the monks and several Byzantine and Roman Catholic brothers.

As the Choir was from Annunciation Byzantine Catholic Church in Homer Glen, Illinois, there was a wonderful musical mix between Eastern Catholic musical traditions as well.

It's a truly wonderful and full liturgy that is worth anyone's 2 hrs, 9 minutes, and 29 seconds of time! smile

I love this video. If people ask me about what goes on, during a divine liturgy, I'd link them to this example.

I really liked the homily; and nice to finally hear it, as I've read the printed version, which you posted.

Beyond the singing (which was quite wonderful), the most important part of this is the homily, which I advise everyone to watch and contemplate. It begins about 30 minutes into the video.

Wow! Wonderful! I am already sharing it with others.

I see Father Thomas Loya is concelebrating and Deacon Sabatino Carnazzo is also present.

A big thanks to those who recorded and edited this video.

I'm disappointed that I didn't know about this earlier! I would have trekked to participate with these wonderful priests!
