Zarastra,
I must agree with Bob. Your posts suggest you are someone who has a lot enthusiasm for Christ but has little knowledge either of Scripture or history. As for who we (the hosts of this site) are, you might check out
About Byzantine Catholics.
The question of what to do with Agia Sophia Cathedral is not as easy as some make it seem. It would be wonderful for it to be once again full of Christian believers and the Divine Liturgy be led by the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople. Reality is that there are few Christians left in Turkey and there are very real questions of how to pay to keep Agia Sophia open and maintained as well as how to keep it safe from Islamists who would seek to destroy it should it again become a Christian temple. Those who seek a status quo - to keep it as museum until such time as the people of Turkey are again converted to Christ - make much sense. It is possible that leaving it as a museum for now will allow it to survive for future use, while demanding it become again become a Christian temple immediately could cause it to be destroyed.
In an earlier post you wrote:
I am very independent follower of Billy Graham.
I hope this is just a bad choice of words on your part.
Billy Graham is a wonderful Christian has led many to Christ. But we do not follow him. We follow only Jesus. No one else.
Best wishes,
Admin John
