If a man was married before being baptised, but his wife left him and so he was civilly divorced, I understand that he is allowed to have a sacramental marriage in the Church. Is this correct?

If so, would such a man be able to be ordained to the priesthood, or would he be disqualified for having had one wife before becoming a Christian and another wife afterwards?

Do the Church fathers or history say anything in this regards?

Please note, this is a hypothetical question I've been wondering about. I am not asking this question about myself. I have never been married.

Thank you for your answers.

Yes, that would be the Pauline Privilege. Since the marriage of the non-baptized is not sacramental, it would not bar them from ordination.

Thank you Fr. Deacon Lance.

Are there any passages in the Church Fathers which talk about this sort of situation?
