Monsignor Stephen Hrynuck died Thursday at the age of 102. Monsignor Hrynuck was raised in Philadelphia and ordained in Rome in April 1938. He worked for more than 75 years as a priest, including 57 at SS. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church, in Olyphant, PA. Vichnaja, Jemu Pamjat. The parishioners of SS. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church of Olyphant PA have lost a truly beautiful saintly priest. So many people throughout the Lackawanna Valley and beyond are blessed to have known him.
