Glory to Jesus Christ!

I am attempting to find out how many functional choirs there are in the Byzantine Catholic Metropolitan Church Sui Juris of Pittsburgh.

The ones with which I am familiar are:

(1) The Archeparchial Choir of Pittsburgh, PA
(2) The Eparchial Choir of Parma, OH
(3) Parish Choir, Holy Ghost, Philadelphia, PA
(4) Parish Choir, St. Mary, Hillsborough, NJ
(5) Parish Choir, Annunciation, Homer Glen IL
(6) Parish Choir, OL Perpetual Help, Albuquerque
(7) Cathedral Choir, St. Mary, Sherman Oaks CA

If anyone is acquainted with FUNCTIONAL choirs, would you please post them here? Thank you very much for your assistance.

In Christ,

Those are two choirs that should have been on my radar screen---thank you both.

More, please? (feeling slightly like Oliver Twist <G>)

I haven't been there to hear it for a while, but there is a choir at St. Mary's Church in Cleveland.

My understanding is that the Parish Choir at Annunciation in Homer Glen, IL (#5 above) is currently without a director and has subsequently disbanded (i.e. non-functional). Perhaps someone who is more familiar with the situation out there than I can shed some light (Carson??... anybody??).

I believe St Nicholas in Danbury has a choir. Can't say it is a formal choir but they do have a group of folks in the back.

I would say that St. Nicholas in Danbury has a group of people who add harmony to the cantor, as opposed to a formal choir divided into 2,3, or 4 parts, who begin singing upon being given pitches and lead by a conductor. I think that is not uncommon. I was at St. Nicholas in Old Forge, PA for Liturgy last night and they had a similar group.
