Prayers for God's people, the clergy and faithful of St Elias!

It truly is a sad day for the Ukrainian community in Southern Ontario to watch our local news as St Elias is reduced to blackened timbers during the Lenten season. Prayers for Fr Galadza and Pani Dobrodivka and the entire parish family for their loss.

My roots go back to the beginning on McLaughlin Road in that small ( St Elias ) brick chapel. Now to see this beautiful temple gone brings me to tears!
Lord have mercy! Please!

This is really, really sad.

Such is an attack of the evil one to bring this vibrant community to despair, but something tells me that they will be resilient and rebuild because Christ is victorious always in the souls and hearts of His people.

I await for the online donations to be set up. Please let us know.

Alice,

The main page of the St. Elias parish website now has information on how to donate online for the rebuilding and also to be put on their mailing list for updates (scroll towards the bottom): http://www.saintelias.com/ca/home/

Amen!

May God grant that the mystery of the Resurrection shine forth at St. Elias, and that the courage and detrmination the clergy and faithful of St. Elias be an example that will inspire and encourage many souls!

Amin!!

Fr. Roman is the brother of Fr. Prof Petro Galadza who teaches in Ottawa.

Fr. Roman is a very holy, devoted Priest in the Vineyard of Christ.

This precious community in the heart of our Church will overcome this and will emerge stronger in faith and holiness!

Lord have mercy!

Alex
