Glory to Christ!-
Who is the patron saint of Byzantine chefs (St.Euphrosynius? [sp.]) and is there a standard petition for use in less inspired moments as one is cooking?

Do you recommend saying it 6, 12, or 40 times? ;-)

I have an icon of St. Euphrosynos in my kitchen that I got from our parish book and icon store. It is right next to the smoke detector, directly above the fire extinguisher.

I heard a rumor that the Archdiocese of Hallmark is planning a St. Euphrosynos meat thermometer that frowns under 160 degrees, and smiles above 160. And a refrigerator thermometer that frowns above 40 degrees, but smiles at temps between 34 and 39 degrees. (Below 32 degrees, a woolen mantle appears over the icon.) Any truth to this?
