I have a close friend here in the Philippines who is involved in apologetics. He recently has had the opportunity to become a member of the local Catholic Defenders of the Faith organization. They have a local radio show on which he has been invited to appear regularly.

I have been speaking to him about the Eastern and Oriental Churches, and he is genuinely interested in the topic. The show is geared towards responding to Protestants, but he is also interested in the Orthodox Churches. There is not much of a presence of the Orthodox Churches here in the Philippines, or of Eastern/Oriental Christianity in general, but I hope to inspire him to discuss on the radio show topics of interest in East-West-Oriental relations.

Please pray that I have the wisdom to guide him and that God will open up opportunities for him to be able to speak about the Eastern and Oriental Churches on the radio show.

Prayers for your intentions, my brother!

Dear Brother Marduk,

I am just afraid that if we pray for any more wisdom for you, you just might be taken up to the seventh heaven or something like that! smile

I was once called upon to do something that was, in my experience, always reserved to priests.

Having visited my spiritual confessor, I told him that I wasn't qualified to do the job (in fact, some told me as much at the time). The priest blessed me and said, "If you aren't qualified to do this, who is? God will guide you. Just go ahead and don't listen to anyone."

Good advice for you as well sir, I believe!

Alex
