At my church (Rusyn Orthodox and I would think the Byzantine Catholic Rusyn parishes as well) we sing the festal troparion repeatedly in Tone 7 (very melodic in prostopenije/Rusyn chant) at the censing, during the communion of the faithful... it is very appropriate: "You were transfigured on the mountain, O Christ God, / revealing Your glory to Your disciples as far as they could bear it. / Let Your everlasting Light also shine upon us sinners, / through the prayers of the Theotokos. / O Giver of Light, glory to You!" (That is the OCA translation, others are similar)

From the Christian West:
A "Common Meter" Hymn ("St. Anne" tune associated with "O God, our Help in Ages past would work). I do not know who wrote the text:
O raise your eyes on high and see There stands our sovereign Lord, His glory is this day revealed, His Word a two-edged sword.
We glimpse the splendor and the power Of him who conquered death, The Christ in whom the universe Knows God's creating breath.
Of every creed and nation King In him all strife is stilled; The promise made to Abraham In him has been fulfilled.
The prophets stand and with great joy Give witness as they gaze; The Father with a sign has sealed Our trust, our hope, our praise,
This glory that today our eyes Have glimpsed of God's own Son Will help us ever sing with Love Of Three who are but One
Also one to "Short Meter":
"'Tis Good, Lord, to Be Here" by Joseph A. Robinson, 1858-(?)
1. 'Tis good, Lord, to be here, Thy glory fills the night; Thy face and garments, like the sun, Shine with unborrowed light.
2. 'Tis good, Lord, to be here, Thy beauty to behold Where Moses and Elijah stand, Thy messengers of old.
3. Fulfiller of the past, Promise of things to be, We hail Thy body glorified And our redemption see.
4. Before we taste of death, We see Thy kingdom come; We fain would hold the vision bright And make this hill our home.
5. 'Tis good, Lord, to be here. Yet we may not remain; But since Thou bidst us leave the mount, Come with us to the plain.
And of course this ecumenical classic:
"Beautiful Savior" by Author Unknown, 1677 Translated by Joseph A. Seiss, 1823-1904
1. Beautiful Savior, King of Creation, Son of God and Son of Man! Truly I'd love Thee, Truly I'd serve Thee, Light of my soul, my Joy, my Crown.
2. Fair are the meadows, Fair are the woodlands, Robed in flowers of blooming spring; Jesus is fairer, Jesus is purer; He makes our sorrowing spirit sing.
3. Fair is the sunshine, Fair is the moonlight, Bright the sparkling stars on high; Jesus shines brighter, Jesus shines purer, Than all the angels in the sky.
4. Beautiful Savior, Lord of the nations, Son of God and Son of Man! Glory and honor, Praise, adoration, Now and forevermore be Thine!

Just found this recent Hymn...metre is 8.7.8.7D (works with "Ode to Joy" but much better with Hyfrydol "Come Thou long-expected Jesus"/"Love Divine All Loves Excellening"):
Swiftly Pass the Clouds of Glory, Heaven's voice the dazzling light Moses and Elijah vanish, Christ alone commands the height Peter, James and John fall silent, Turning from the summit' rise Downward toward the shadowed valley Where their Lord has fixed His eyes
Glimpsed and gone the revelation, They shall gain and keep its truth Not by building on the mountain Any shrine or sacred booth But by following the savior through the valley to the cross And by testing faith's resilience Through betrayal, pain and loss
Lord Transfigure our perception With the purest light that shines And recast our life's intentions To the shape of your designs Till we seek no other glory Than what lies past Calv'ry's Hill And out living and our dying and out rising by Your will
