LOL! What are you saying about our USA, dear Alex! You don't think that we get along?!? confused

Well, where we need to, (not in the political arena, but in everyday living) we actually do...people in other countries often tell me that they cannot believe how well all the different nationalities and races get along in the US of A..and on the everyday level, it is mostly true-- At least it has been in my experience as a native urban New Yorker, living and loving the melting pot of different cultures, religions and races. Sure we have and have had our bumps and tensions, even in NYC, but for the most part, the great mosaic is still intact.

Dear Alice,

I agree completely - no one is as culturally tolerant than the USA!

I was only comparing how well Ukraine is faring by comparison to the political situation in the USA.

Despite the religious and other divisions, Ukraine has learned to emphasize what unites it.

And that, I think, is how things should be done!

Wait until next week! Ukrainian politics is like our East Tennessee weather. If you don't like it, wait thirty minutes and it will change. LOL.

Dear Charles,

Except that Ukrainian politics is governed largely by the extent to which Russian tanks run over the playing fields . . .

Ukraine's President will be here in Canada tomorrow before he flies off to Washington.

A new chapter has started for Ukraine and its people. A real one, not an ideal one.

I wish it every blessing from on High.

He's coming to Washington? I will have to check the news channels and get more information.

Yes, and if you behave, the chocolate tycoon-turned-president may even send you some sweets from his factory! smile

Not that you're not already sweet enough . . . smile
