Well said, Alex...I would just note that the quoted piece is a 'good old fashioned polemic' and as such...well...there are better ways to reach a resolution to crises in one's conscience than to rely on polemic works whether directed eastward or westward.

Life is short, tough and nuanced....There are no easy answers except that as has oft been said, Salvation lies in the Church...but for many, ascertaining just where the Church is to be found however, remains the question.

It is far, far easier to ascertain where it is not I suspect, than to be certain where in fact it is....

Absolutely sir!

There are various mitigating factors which guide one to what one eventually settles for the Church.

For me, in addition to this issue there is the issue of the intensity by which one lives out one's faith commitment.

Ultimately, we must trust God to lead us into His truth and on the path to salvation in accordance with His Will.

It is all a struggle involving prayer, opposing sin and evil, falling down and then getting up again by the Grace of the Holy Spirit.

Alex
