Orthodox Catholic Member Joined: Nov 2001 Posts: 26,405 Likes: 38 Canada	Dear Friends in Christ, Our Pomeranian, Mookie, who has been with us for 14 years, died suddenly on Saturday. He kept looking at me and then he stretched out on the floor with paws forward and placed his head on them as he quickly left us. As we were completely unprepared for this and were looking forward to a long weekend with him, my wife and I have been heart-broken and in grief since and we even lit a candle in Church yesterday to thank God for having had such a wonderful companion in our lives for so long. I ask for your prayers to help us overcome our grief. Thank you. (His full name was "Mookie Lupus Wulfila," believe it or not . . .). I named him after the Arian Apostle to the Goths . . . Alex

There will be many days when you will still expect to see Mookie in the house--coming into a room, going to his feeding bowl, etc. It takes time to get used to the void.
