May the Lord Who is going to His voluntary and ever-memorable Passion for our salvation, Christ Our True God, have mercy on each of you as you enter into the days leading up to Pascha. May He stir up your faith into a living flame and set your hearts on fire with love for Him.

Your first Pascha - a very very special one then smile

Many years !

I still have wonderful memories of my own Chrismation - some years ago now - but the memories live on.

Dear. OLS it seems only yesterday.

MANY BLESSED YEARS TO YOU, THOMAS and his FAMILY, along with all those who have entered their Church in this, their Paschal Season, Catholic and Orthodox alike.

My first real exposure to the Christian East was the Lamentations service 5 years ago.

My Priest knew that I was "captured" that night...but that I would need to discover that for myself.

My first Pascha was three years ago, the next year my adult son joined me, last year my wife (the slow one initially, the usual pattern) joined us.

This year we were--at last--fully joined to the Body and Blood of Christ Crucified and Risen.

Those who have followed our journey in forum and in PM will understand how awesome, how wonderful, and at moments, how autobiographical and humbling it was to be selected to start off the Paschal Orthros by reciting Psalm 50/1. A torrent of emotions!
