Just an interesting note.

Pope Francis gave an interview which was published yesterday, in which he says that at the moment he is reading about Saint Silouan The Athonite, who he describes as "a great spiritual master".

Not exactly breaking news, but thought you might enjoy it.

The full transcript of the interview, in Spanish, is here [religionenlibertad.com] and the reference appears just before the first photograph in the middle of the text.

Yeah, Francis is OK! smile

I knew an acquaintance, very Orthodox, for whom the worst possible offending word to call someone was "Jesuit"

When His Holiness became Pope, I told him that he could never call the pope a "Jesuit" - since he already was.

He walked away in a very pensive mood on that one . . . wink
