I've been dreading the day, I would have to ask you all for these prayers..

My mom has been fighting lung cancer, and its apparent she is now in her last days. Please pray for her!

Thank you.
Chad

May Barbara be at peace and may her family receive comfort and support as they watch and wait

Thank you. Does anyone know a short prayer i can say for her in these last days?

Its tough, because my intention is for her to be healed and get up from her sick bed, of course.

Thanks

Dear Chad,

Prayers for your mother!

You might want to say Psalm 102. But also simply repeating the Jesus Prayer with the emphasis on "JESUS" is very calming and healing. Also repeating both the Our Father and the Hail Mary as many times, slowly, as we can.

I have come to know this through personal experience during my long convalescence over the past six months.

Lord have mercy on Barbara.

Prayers for divine consolation at this very sad and difficult time for you, dear Chad.

Psalm 23

23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
