In your charity, please remember my ex-wife, Cyndie, who will pass into God's hands within the next day or so. Although she isn't suffering any longer, the ordeal of watching a very brave and gracious lady fade away is painful.

Our family is very grateful for the 20 years that the Lord granted us with her presence after she was first diagnosed back in 1995 with an aggressive and rare breast cancer that gave her a life expectancy of not more than seven years. She refused to give up, determined to see our youngest graduate from high school. She never faltered in her resolve, even as a metastasis to her brain was found a few years later.

She again beat the odds, but other conditions that might have been individually manageable mushroomed into a constellation of illnesses that have made the last five years very, very rough. She struggled to remain active and in control of her life and was able to do, to some extent, until this past year.

Now, she is at death's doorstep, surrounded by family and receiving only comfort measures. The kindness of your prayers for her and for the comfort of our children would be much appreciated.

Many years,

Neil

Oh Neil frown

May the Lord ease Cyndie's last hours

May He gently take her into the place He has prepared for her.

May all the family , children and friend who have known and cared for Cyndie over this time be comforted and supported , knowing her suffering will not be prolonged.

Lord have mercy

May her every sin be forgiven, those committed in thought, word, or deed,, knowingly or unknowingly. May the wounds of life be healed for the family, and you find rest in Jesus and Blessed Mother.

Neil:

May the Good Lord welcome Cyndie into the Mansions of the Just when her time comes. May He also comfort all of her family, especially you.

Brother Neil,

May the Lord Jesus Christ receive her into His Kingdom, the Kingdom of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit! Amen.

Lord have mercy on your servant, Neil, at this time of suffering.

Thank you for your prayers, my dear friends. Cyndie reposed peacefully in the Lord on Wednesday evening, surrounded by family.

O God of all spiritual and corporeal beings, You Who trampled death, broke the power of Satan and granted life to the whole world, now, O Lord, grant rest to the soul of Your departed handmaiden, Cynthia, in a place of light, freshness, and peace, where there is no pain, sorrow, or mourning.

As You are a gracious God and the Lover of mankind, forgive her every transgression committed by her in word, deed, or thought, since there is no man alive who has not sinned, for You alone are without sin and You are the Resurrection and the Life, O Christ our God, and we render glory to You, together with Your Eternal Father, and Your most Holy, gracious, and life-giving Spirit, now and ever and forever. Amen.

May her memory be eternal!

Father Serge Keleher came to my grandfather's funeral and afterwards he gave a little talk on the meaning of "memory eternal."

He said that people are unable to remember someone eternally. But God most certainly can. And when God remembers someone, He does it most unlike us. For God to remember someone means that that person is truly living.

Thus, he said, Father John continues to truly live because God remembers him!

The same can be said of the reposed servant of God, Cyndie!

Memory Eternal in Christ our God!
