Please pray for the devout servant of God, Deacon Robert Kuchta, currently serving at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, York, PA; formerly of the Carpatho-Russian jurisdiction when living in Pottsville.
Deacon Robert was suddenly and unexpect3edly diagnosed with metastatic pancreatic cancer last night. He will undergo surgery on Monday to remove fluid from his lungs.

I have learned that the cancer is stage 4 and has metasticized to the liver.
Deacon Robert will undergo chemotherapy in the hope of resuming his ministry.

Prayers for Deacon Robert, that his physicians be guided by the Holy Unmercenary Physicians, Cosmas and Damian, and that the Lord restore him to health and his ministry.

A Facebook post by Deacon Robert's daughter (relayed to me by my wife) indicates that his time may be short.
"A Christian ending to our life, painless, blameless, and a good defense before the judgement seat of Christ, let us ask."

Deacon Robert reposed in the Lord on the First Saturday of Souls.
