Thank you everyone for your condolences and, most of all, your prayers!
My mother's funeral was very beautiful. Rev. Fr. Professor Peter Galadza came from Ottawa and was the main celebrant of the Liturgy at the UCC of the Holy Protection in Toronto, with Fr. Bohdan Choly from St Catharines and Fr. Slipyj from the parish.
The church was almost full for the Liturgy and many friends and relatives came out. Fr. Galadza is related to my family through his Presbytera Olenka who is a cousin.
To bury one's mother is the hardest thing one can do. I've buried my father, uncles and aunts, cousins and friends.
I like to think that only part of my mother's body was interred yesterday. The other part is what I call "my body."
It is the body God formed for me from the flesh and blood of my mother.
With the Saints give rest O Lord!
Alex
