I haven't watched EWTN in a while, but started to again since the recent passing of Mother Angelica (May her memory be eternal!).

Today I just caught an article from The Catholic News Herald from Nov. 2015 stating that the Poor Clare community in Charlotte,NC consisting of 6 nuns merged with the Hanceville,AL group, making a total of 11 solemnly professed members, which included Mother Angelica (at the time of the article) at that location.

Then I came across this newspaper article that mentions over 40 cloistered Poor Clare nuns in Hanceville,AL at the time the article was written in 2013.

Was wondering, in the past two to three years, where did so many of them go? Were they transferred to other convents in the US?

I believe Our Lady of Solitude , Tonopah, Arizonia outside of Phoenix is one of theirs. Don't how it is called when one monastery/convent opens another in a different area. Daughter house ???
