We will be attending our first service this Sunday. We had been attending an SSPX mass in Phoenix. Do we call it a mass? Are the priests called "Father" ? How is communion given? altar rail? Any help is appreciated. Is the service given in church Greek?

Christ is Risen!!

Welcome to the forum.

Sorry that this will come after your first Divine Liturgy.

Father will serve/celebrate it. Communion is by intinction with a spoon, probably standing. If the parish is Byzantine/Ruthenian it will most likely be English; may have some Slavonic.

Don' know that I've ever heard of "Church Greek."

I hope that your first experience went well.

Attending Greek Catholic services can be quite a big change of pace when compared to your regular attendance at the SSPX's Latin Masses.

Nevertheless, there is a great wealth of spiritual riches to be found in the East, and I pray that you will continue learn about our traditions!

If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to ask!
