Memory eternal!

Quote
An elderly priest was "assassinated" as he conducted Mass at a church in France early Tuesday when two knife-wielding attackers linked to ISIS took several nuns and worshippers hostage.

Memory eternal!! May the Lord welcome his latest martyr into the Mansions of the just.

A few years back, we had a thread in which Islamic followers demanded that crosses be taken down in the Middle East. Now they have exported their militancy to Europe. I wonder what it will take for Europe to waken; I wonder what it will take for us. We've just had Orlando; we've had killings on a military base; we've had San Bernadino; we've had other attacks. We now see that 9/11 has links to the Saudi royal family. We keep looking for links, but overlook the common, obvious ones--the Koran and the Islamic hadiths.

This is culture clash, the kind that Mohammad said his followers should do when they reached a majority or near majority. At first, preach peace he taught; later forcibly impose the Islamic belief system. They see Christians and Jews as people who have corrupted God's revelation and can thus be killed with no compassion. It doesn't take anything special, but someone to become convinced by reading the Koran or hearing a sermon and act on it. This is holy war and eternal rewards await the believer who acts on the command to take out infidels. Right now these people are engaging in the kind of terror attacks that are designed to make people weary and want to surrender just to have peace. But peace can only come with submission.

And "submission" is the literal meaning of the word "Islam".

Ah, those peaceful Muslims again. If we only understood them. I think some of us do. This is the same religion/political system that roared out of the desert and destroyed all the Christian civilizations that were part of the Roman Empire. Why is anyone surprised that they are doing the same thing again?
