We have a new priest who is married with Children. This is new to many or us. What can you tell me about the role of Pani?

She'll assume whatever role, in the parish, she is capable of. For a while, the OCA parish Matushka had directed the choir, for a time. However, it began to wear her out, then my friend was asked to direct the choir, as soon as he could; and he's been choir director, there, for the last 20 years. Since then, she's been part of the pastoral care ministry; sings in the choir; helps lead parish retreats; bakes prosphora; and other things.
