The UOC-MP glorified two Saints at the Kyivan-Caves Lavra yesterday on the feast of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos.
Saint Ioanniky, Metropolitan of Kyiv-Halych (+1900) who reposed as a monastic at the Lavra at the Holosiyivsky Skete (in effect, this Skete was established by St Peter Mohyla, Metropolitan of Kyiv as the residence for all future Kyivan Metropolitans). Feast Day: June 20th.
Also, the Venerable Father St Bassian the Blind of the Kyiv Caves was likewise glorified. Feast Day: May 8th. Both these calendar dates are on the new calendar.
