I at the privilege yesterday of hearing a short concert given the 16 seminarians from Blessed Theodore Romzha Seminary in Uzhorod which they gave at the Epiphany Slavic-American Festival here in Annandale, Virginia. They were fantastic. They sang a short selection of Marian Hymns, Christmas Carols, Paschal Hymns and Liturgical Hymns - all in Church Slavonic. I grew up singing every hymn they sang so it was like being home with family.

The concert the seminary choir gave yesterday was a small selection of the full concert they will be giving on a three week tour across the Mid-Atlantic States. I highly recommend that you plan to attend one of their concerts - even if you need to drive several hours.

The main website is: http://seminaryconcerttour.com

The list of cities they will be singing can be found at: http://seminaryconcerttour.com/id1.html

They also have CDs and DVDs available.

I, too, have heard the choirs at the Uniontown, PA church but
missed it last night. Hoping to make the Friday or Saturday concerts at one of the churches in Pittsburgh. The seminarians are very nice but shy, please make them feel welcome. Maybe
some day one of them will be a priest in one of our churches in the US

At the closing events for the Uzhorod Seminary Choir Tour (Friday Divine Liturgy at the Basilica, Concert at St. Nicholas Cathedral, Concert and then Divine Liturgy at Epiphany Church) I had the opportunity to speak with some of the seminarians. For them and all who saw and heard them sing it was a phenomenal trip. Jack Figel is to be commended for his organization of the whole event. May the Lord God grant him and all those who assisted him Many Years!
