I came across these two articles from the official website of the Chaldean Catholic Diocese of Saint Peter the Apostle and wanted to share them here:
http://kaldu.org/2015/08/the-2006-reform-of-the-chaldean-mass-and-the-2014-missal-of-patriarch-sako/http://kaldu.org/2015/08/keeping-the-liturgy-chaldean/I know that the Chaldean liturgy was reformed in 2006, which included restoring ad orientem worship and the return of the altar curtain. What I am surprised to learn from reading the articles is that the Chaldean Catholic Diocese of Saint Peter is the only Chaldean diocese that implemented the reform. The other Chaldean dioceses have not.
Then, I learned that His Beatitude implemented a new reform of the Chaldean liturgy in 2014 which appears to undo the reforms of 2006. The Chaldean Catholic Diocese of Saint Peter has resisted the 2014 reforms.
First, the Syro Malabar Church had divisions over the liturgy, and now the Chaldean Church.
