I have been wanting to purchase incense from the Monastery Icon company ever since I smelled it in church. However, I came across an article saying not to buy things from them because they used to be Hindus and still have some Hindu rituals. I'm not sure if this is true, so I was wondering, should I buy the incense or go somewhere else?

Christ is in our midst!!

One can purchase quality incense in so many places online that it isn'tnecessary to deal with this company. A few years ago there was an in-depth discussion about this group and I am fairly sure that this is the one that is now Hindu.

One site fairly close to me is the ACROD website. They sell incense used in liturgical services.

Another good source is ISTOK, a site srving Eastern Christians.

If you know that brand of incense your priest used, you can also google it and you'lll come up with many sites offering incense.

Try "Three Kings"--a brand I've looked for and the site will show dozens of different scents.

Thanks. There are other great brands out there so I'll check them out.

Do you know if the ACROD bookstore makes the incense themselves?

No. You'll have to ask them at the bookstore. Or, maybe one of our members here can answer that question.

I mention "Three Kings" because it is made up of dustless crystals that have an aroma even when not burned. Something like the aroma of chrism: Heavenly.

Our parish uses Gloria incense, F8, I buy it here for my personal use at home. I have also purchased very beautiful laminated icons as I can not afford better made ones.
