Dear friends.....the last 50 hours have been a whirlwind.
On Thursday evening, my wife, Jan ("Photinii") was driving home on a two lane road when her vehicle had a sudden steering failure. It pulled hard to the left--nothing she could do to correct it--and went up an embankment, then filipped and landed on the highway on its roof. Despite the airbags failing to deploy she did not lose consciousness.
The bystanders first on the scene included a couple of off duty police officers who helped her to extricate herself from the vehicle. She was treated and released from the hospital; no concussion, no fractures, no spinal injury. Our Priests were at the hospital in record time and she received Unction.
Now the various aches and pains are beginning to manifest. First neck (so time for a soft cervical collar); next increasingly limited movement of her left arm.
Since this is the eve of her name-day we were at Vespers in spite of the pain. Pray for dynamis that she can received the Mysteries on her feast day.

Dear Thomas,
I pray that our Lord will heal any and all pain within her body. Thank God she survived. May God bless you and she for your faithfulness to Him.
In Christ, Alice

One hour for Vespers was the limit...not enough dynamis for Sunday.
PCP visit today led to an x-ray of her shoulder...definitely off work at least through next Monday.
But after what could have been a fatal accident, LIFE is good.

Update: Jan was able to make it through Orthros and Divine Liturgy yesterday, even sang a Kathisma verse in Orthros.
Follow up Dr./ appointment today has her remaining off work through next Tuesday 30. Maybe back to work on June 1. She is still full of bruises (going down, slowly) and beaucoup muscle aches.
Continued prayers, please!
