And I was inquiring about the Eastern Catholic Church vs Eastern Orthodoxy. I've been on this journey for much longer than that but I still haven't converted. Unfortunately I've also stopped going to Church along with my Wife who has no interest in joining me if I were to convert. It's probably been a year since we've been to Church. Prayers are appreciated. Since my post 4 years ago we've moved to McKinney, Tx just North of Dallas. I know there are a couple EC churches in the area. I'm getting ready to make the move with or without my dear wife.

Hi Wayne, I joined here shortly after being received in an Eastern Catholic church (not Byzantine). Yet, had there been an active Byzantine church, my husband's preference, we would be there.

We attended St. Basil's in Irving a few times, with Fr. Daniel. It was about 4hours from where we lived. We just recently attended since he has been gone, frown we are not privy to why he is no longer there.

Just wanted to share that there are others on the EC/EO fence. Some of us have given up and just choose to stand in the corner and be fed crumbs (antidoron).

It is very depressing on Sundays, knowing I do not belong anywhere. (Edited to add, we just recently moved, also) But hearing the prayer to Our Father in English, Greek, Slavonic, Arabic, Spanish and the priest encouraging other languages chime in, was a gift of God to me this morning.

Good luck in your journey.

I'm one of those who's been on the fence a long time as well. I can relate well to what you've both just expressed here.

God bless to both of you.

At one time there were such beautiful hymns in the Roman-rite

Where are these heard today?

Jova,

You said that you were received into another Eastern Catholic church. Why are you simply receiving antidiron and not the precious Lamb?

Are you currently attending an Eastern Catholic church? Or are you at an Eastern Orthodox one instead?

Nearest EC parish 6hours away. I have tried the local RC, it is dismal now, more than ever. So for Pentacost, I went to EO. May go there permanently.
