I picked up a book at an estate sale today titled "Out of This Furnace" by Thomas Bell. It was written in 1941 and apparently has enjoyed something of a resurgence as a source book in college classes if the number of essays and reviews available for sale on the Internet is any indication. I started reading it and discovered that the characters of interest in the novel are "Greek Catholic Slovak" and Rusyn immigrants to the U.S. This spurred me to look up Thomas Bell on that most reliable source Wikipedia "Bell was born Adalbert Thomas Belejcak on March 7, 1903 in Braddock, Pennsylvania, United States, of immigrant Lemko Rusyn parents (Mary Krachun and Michael Belejcak) from the village of Nižný Tvarožec, then in the Austro-Hungarian Empire, now in Slovakia."
Not necessarily of religious interest here but certainly an interesting source of historical context for some of us Byzantines who are late arrivals.
