[if this is the wrong forum, would a mod kindly move it? Thanks]

After a long time in preparation, there is now a regularly scheduled Melkite liturgy in Las Vegas.

The first was lat month, and the second last weekend.

It meets on Saturday at 6 PM the fourth Sunday, at St. Gabriel Byzantine Church. (This seems to mean that it could land on the third Saturday, but no-one seems clear on this--we should find out in October). A pot-luck is held afterwards at a member's house.

There will be no September liturgy, however; the next is in October.

The liturgy has been served primarily in English, but with significant use of Arabic, as well as some greek.

It will be served by a variety of priests.

Current plans are for a name something like "Exultation of the Holy Cross"
