I recently came across this article and found it alarming. I pass this along to faithful Roman Catholics to consider. The article provides an interesting insight into the orientation of this papacy.

I, too, found this article alarming. Dan Brown couldn't have done better.

Good article. Add these thoughts to it: Take a look at the back of the US one dollar bill. Lo, and behold, full of the Masonic imagery the country was founded on! "Annuit coeptus" indeed. Dr. Joseph Warren, Paul Revere, James Otis, Masons all; not exactly Founding Fathers, but Founding Conspirators for the Novus Ordo Saeculorum. These guys started the Rebellion in Boston that became the American Revolution.

Do any of you know how irrelevant this organization is in recent times? I think it exists strongly as a trope in a kind of Catholic and Orthodox paranoid subconscious than as any real thing. In the next largest town and in my home town at present their lodges are closing (and prime for redevelopment) and only very old men go to the meetings. Christianity looks quite healthy by comparison.Let us not give this organization any undeserved publicity.
Happy feast of St. Demetrius!

I quite agree. The Lodge near my home is in dire straights and rents out its hall on Sunday morn to a group of Evangelicals. The DeMolay warm-up jackets I saw as a kid have long vanished. Ecclesiastical condemnations bring them a publicity they don't deserve.
