Dear all,
It has been a long time since I posted on here, for which there are a number of reasons. I beg your indulgence, therefore, while I put this to you. I know it is unfair that I should re-appear simply for this reason.
In any case, we have been working in Cardiff, Wales since 2013 to get a Ukrainian Greek Catholic mission church started that is true to its Orthodox traditions, effective in its outreach, and sustainable for the long term. Indeed, I have said to Kyr Hlib on a number of occasions that our purpose here is to be for the UK what St Elias, Brampton is for Canada.
To this end, we have been serving in a disused RC Church since the beginning, and while this situation has been a blessing to us, the RCs would like their building back and have asked us to vacate. We are therefore looking for our own building now, and a perfect one has come open that will cost us £300000.
Consequently, we are starting a multi-pronged fundraising campaign, and are asking with some urgency for donations of any amount people can afford.
I would ask all of you if, by your charity, you might consider visiting our ‘justgiving’ page, and if at all possible, give generously. Likewise, should you know anyone that might be able to help, please share this link with them.
