Home today--now just figuring out a new med schedule and fitting that around Christmas liturgies.

Thank you.

Each day gets a little better but it will be a very long and slow recovery.

With profound thanksgiving to God, with appreciation beyond words for the prayers of His people on earth, and with rejoicing in the Intercessions of His saints:

I humbly share that yesterday--on the eight week anniversary of the fall, and many weeks sooner than we had anticipated, the Orthopedic surgeon said that Jan can start walking on both legs, ditching the boot cast on the left for a brace, but, most importantly, putting full weight for the first time on the right.

Her first words were "now I can get to Church!"

A few hours earlier I had chanbted the Magnifications of the 9th Ode for the Feast of the Three Hierarchs, which include this beautiful petition:

As you observe us in sickness * of the soul and the body * and bedridden with painful suffering, *
O Lady, being compassionate * grant the cure and release us * from sorry troubles now besetting us, *
so that we may extol you unceasingly and magnify.

Glory to God for all things!

Two days ago Jan had a great physical therapy session, during which the therapist urged her to ditch the walker for a cane.

The next day she self graduated from the walker to the cane and has continued without moving back.

As I wrote to our Priest:

"Many prayers on earth and in Heaven. God is wondrous in His saints"

Thank you!

Last evening--three months to the day and date of her double ankle fracture--she was able to ride the newly installed chair lift to the balcony of Annunciation church for her first choir rehearsal since before Thanksgiving.

And more importantly, this Great Lent she is able to participate in every service and most important of all, to receive the Mysteries at the PreSanctified Divine Liturgy.

Glory to Jesus Christ--Glory forever!
