I'm just watching Ascension Liturgy at a Hungarian Greek Catholic Church in Hungary. There seem to be a lot of young people attending. Maybe Ascension is a national holiday?

That’s a good question. As I watched the Holy Week and Pascha services from Central and Eastern Europe I also noticed lots of young people participating.

I read somewhere that it is a national holiday, but I also doubt it!

In any event, it is pleasant to hear the same Carpatho Rusyn plainchant that we use in my parish changed in Hungarian.

I do the Paschal Troparion at least once in Hungarian during the liturgy(during our Orthodox Paschal season). It's good for those who want to practice the difference between "a"and the long "a".
FWIW, we also do English, Slavonic, Greek, Romanian, Ukrainian, and Arabic. Also, one "Christos Voskrese" is sung in Serbian chant.
