As I mentioned elsewhere, I was pretty much away from the net and the forum for about the last month, causing me to not acknowledge the anniversaries of repose of a few of our brethren. Rather than generate individual prayer posts to acknowledge those whose anniversaries were in December, I'll combine them here:

December 1 was the 18th anniversary of repose of our fellow forumite, John Royce, who posted here as Orthodox East and at OrthodoxChristianity.net as HypoOrtho

December 9 was the 1st anniversary of repose of our fellow forumite, Bob Tallick, who posted here as OrthoMan and at OrthodoxChristianity.net as Orthodoc

Both John and Bob were passionate in their Orthodox faith and spirited debaters.

O God of all spiritual and corporeal beings, You Who trampled death, broke the power of Satan and granted life to the whole world, now, O Lord, grant rest to the soul of Your departed servants, John and Bob in a place of light, freshness, and peace, where there is neither pain, nor sorrow, nor mourning, but only life everlasting.

As You are a gracious God and the Lover of mankind, forgive them every transgression committed by them in word, thought, or deed, since there is no man alive who has not sinned, for You alone are without sin and You are the Resurrection and the Life, O Christ our God, and we render glory to You, together with Your Eternal Father, and Your most Holy, gracious, and life-giving Spirit, now and always and forever.

May their memories be eternal and may all of their loved ones be comforted in the prayerful expectation of being reunited with them in Heaven
