Several years ago I found a Taizé song "Lumiere de nos coeus" / "Oh Light of every heart" (here is a link to the piece on youtube:
), the music being credited as "Russian Orthodox, arranged by Taizé". I don't really like the lyrics that much, but I love the melody and would like to know the original Russian piece behind it. Could anyone point me in the right direction here? Thank you!!

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post the question, in any case I apologize to mods and users...

Hi sophokles,

Welcome to the forum. This is probably the best forum in which to ask a question such as this. Personally, I have a terrible ear for music and wouldn't be able to identify two melodies as identical under most any circumstance. I did, however, do a bit of online research to no avail. Hopefully, someone here with a better ear than me and familiarity with Russian Orthodox liturgical music might be of help; failing that, these two links might provide a resource to be mined:
