Hello everyone!
Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine I have been collecting speaches and statements by relevant religious figures.
You can find that here. [actualidadereligiosa.blogspot.com]
Today I found a prayer by Patriarch Kiril, but my attempts at automatic translation have not been very successful...
If anybody here could give me a hand, I'd appreciate it!

Here is the original text.

Meanwhile, through a series of automatic translations and some editing, I think I have come up with a good translation.
If anybody has any suggestions or corrections, I welcome them!

Prayer for the speedy restoration of peace, pronounced by the Patriarch on Forgiveness Sunday

O Holy and merciful God, Lord Jesus Christ our God, through the prayers of the All-Pure Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary, the holy Grand Duke Vladimir and Grand Duchess Olga, the holy New Martyrs and Confessors of our Church, Our venerable and godly fathers Anthony and Theodosius, wonderworkers of the Kievo-Pechersk monastery, Sergius, hegumen of Radonezh, Job of Pochaev, Seraphim of Sarov and all the saints; make our prayer favourable for the Church and for all Your people.

From one baptismal font, in the days of holy Prince Vladimir, we Thy children have received grace: establish in our hearts a spirit of brotherly love and peace for ever!

To the foreign-tongued nations who desire to be at war and to fight against Holy Russia, – forbid them and overthrow their plans.

Through Thy grace guide those who hold power to do good; strengthen the soldiers in Thy commandments; provide homes for the homeless; nourish the hungry; strengthen and heal those who are in affliction and suffering; give hope and comfort to those who are in confusion and sorrow, and give forgiveness of sins and a blessed repose to those who have been killed in battle.

Fill us with faith, hope and love that we may confess to Thee, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, with Thy everlasting Father, Thy Holy and Life-giving Spirit, in one word and with one heart, for ever and ever. Amen.

“Who desire to be at war and fight against Holy Russia”?! He acts as if Russia was attacked rather than the attacker. His defrocking cannot come soon enough.

I have since made a couple of small corrections, on advice from a Russian speaker. The most significant was replacing "Holy Russia" with "Holy Rus'"

“Who desire to be at war and fight against Holy Russia”?

Fr. Deacon Lance,

Get the feeling of being in the Twilight Zone. His Holiness must believe the State propaganda media. Or, he's fully invested in Putin's dream of restoring ancient Rus, which the Ukrainians do not share.
