His Beatitude Sviatoslav is commemorated as a patriarch, he has been publicly acclaimed as patriarch by at least one other Catholic patriarch, i.e. he is a patriarch. It would be a good and welcome blessing if the "Father and Head" of the Church of Rome would do the same. Regardless however, His Beatitude Sviatoslav is a patriarch, has been acclaimed as a patriarch, and has been a patriarch from the moment of his enthronement in Kyiv. Check it out! His legitimacy as patriarch is not dependent upon Rome. As Eastern Catholics, we need to grow up and start acting like mature adults, as "equals" (Vatican II). Our legitimacy as Catholics is not dependent upon the whims and "politics" of another Church.
