According to this story [msn.com], the OC of Ukraine will permit its faithful to celebrate Christmas on December 25th (according to the Gregorian calendar).

Orthodox Church of Ukraine to allow Christmas on December 25 as rift with Moscow deepens
Jack Guy CNN - Yesterday 12:33 p.m.

A branch of Ukraine’s Orthodox church has announced that it will allow its churches to celebrate Christmas on December 25, rather than January 7, as is traditional in Orthodox congregations.

The announcement by the Kyiv-headquartered Orthodox Church of Ukraine widens the rift between the Russian Orthodox Church and other Orthodox believers that has deepened due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The decision came after “taking into account the numerous requests and taking into account the discussion that has been going on for many years in the Church and in society; predicting, in particular due to the circumstances of the war, the escalation of calendar disputes in the public space,” the Orthodox Church of Ukraine said in a statement published October 18.

Is this really news? If my memory serves, my Ukr. Catholic Church, Toronto eparchy priest told us in the fall of 2019 that the OCofU and the UCatholicChurch had agreed to allow this on a parish by parish basis.
My parish then decided to make the switch (unlike the rest of north America, a good many parishes in the Toronto eparchy of the UCC were still celebrating "old style"; some still are).

"Welcome Back!" seems more appropriate, as it seems Roman's been around since March 2002. We need more of these "returns"!😊

This "Welcome" may have been due to theophan staying up late on account of the tight senate race in Pennsylvania, but I couldn't explain away the previous one...

Roman,

You're right. Through my blurry eyes I saw a "1" but failed to notice it was "likes" and not "posts."

Today's news headline (risu.ua) has a headline and article about a Hutsulian OCU parish that, in response to the OCU's stand on the Gregorian calendar, has decided to celebrate this upcoming December 25th as Christmas Day with their Hutsul carol tradition - basically visiting every home in the town with the choir etc. AND the parish will stay on the Gregorian calendar afterwards. Representatives told the press that they have wanted to move over to the Gregorian calendar for years and join "civilized Orthodoxy" in so doing... I think every Orthodox and EC Ukrainian around the world will move to the new calendar (Reformed Julian) while my parish will stay with the old . . .

Roman,

Actually the bleery eyes were due to the fact that I am Judge of Elections in a precinct near my home. We report in at 6 a.m. and I didn't get home until nearly 10 p.m. By that time, I didn't care who won the election as long as I could crash and get some sleep. LOL
