Yes, it is a prayer thread. I moved it because the discussion moved beyond strictly prayer.

Fair enough. Thanks Bob/theophan!

I found this beautiful intercessory yet simple prayer for apostates and heretics:

"Illumine with the light of grace all apostates from the Orthodox Faith, and those blinded by pernicious heresies, and draw them to Thyself, and unite them to Thy Holy, Apostolic, Catholic Church." All Holy Saints, pray for us!

Saint Apostle Andrew is said to help for those dealing with problems of faith.
Many other saints can help with problems in marriage including the most Holy Theotokos.

I don't find it right to judge whether they love each or not or why they want to get married. Maybe this is Christ calling her to find the right faith and the true Messiah?
As a man and a Christian shouldn't the man in this couple be a light to all mankind and king to his future wife and convert her?
The woman gets married into the man's family not the other way around.
Money are irrelevant and very fickle. They may be broke tomorrow, what then?
Stranger things have happened to stubborn people.
They need God first and then each other and the rest follows and will be good because it comes from God.

Since they want to get married I can only find peace in praying for their happiness and peace with God. I can't pray for people to argue and their relationship to fall apart, that is devilish, God binds people and is not divisive even when people are wrong in their ways. How about Christians who "live with partners" are they awesome just because they are both Christians?
Can these two instead be judged as materialistic and lost just because they are rich and one of them of is Pagan?

May God give him strength to convince his future wife to get Baptized and become Christian.
God can illumine anyone, He has changed the mind of many Pagans into Christians.
Anyone can be saved, anyone can be a saint.
Praying God illumines the man on what to do and gives the woman kindness to listen to him when he will speak from God. 🙏
May they have a blessed marriage if they so desire!

Christ is in our midst!!

Christbearer25,

I received your notification about a post you found uncharitable. I do not find it "lacking in charity" nor do I find your other opinions worthy of a response to the poster, i.e., "the poster is presenting their personal opinion/being opinionated rather than wise counsel." (It) "comes across as an attack." I have reread this post several times and do not believe this latter comment of yours to have merit.

May I suggest that you may have a perceptual problem with this post. May I suggest you stick to your own observations which have all the same traits you suggest the other poster has--your "personal opinions/being opinionated. You have certainly NOT shown "wise counsel."

Christbearer25,
After reading Teophan's comment I realize it was probably my comment that may have offended you. If that is the case please forgive me, I did not measure my words wisely and I came across in a way that troubled you for which I am sorry.

Christ is in our midst!!

Ecaterina,

You have no need to apologize. A forum is a place for us to discuss matters and feel free to express ourselves. Outside postings that are obvious and blatant comments that reasonable people would find offensive, there is no need to walk on eggshells.

"This post is being disrespectful to what that poster mentioned in the thread did to me. I posted my thread while I was hurting. While they apologized, sadly the moderator Theophan/Bob seems to dismiss and even enable abuse and hurtful words in this forum. Please do whatever necessary to stop this!"

I am locking this thread because it has traveled far beyond its original topic.
