This may sound silly, but I'm going to risk embarrasment. Mathematics is sort of like a language of the universe. Grouping things in tens (like almost the entire human race does) lends to development of technology. Grouping numbers in twelves leads to development oppisite of addictions. I practice daily. I've been fully functional in a base twelve number system since 1999. This is a logical extention of an ability I developed while being pursecuted by a spirit of anti-Christ from 1987-1997. In 1987 I was an agnostic ex Jehovah Witness. In 1989 I started healing addicts or attempting to do so by taking the addiction on to myself. I never had addiction myself except for gambling in 1983, but was able to break myself from. Anyone who even learns how to count in base twelve will develop resistance to addiction. It took me a month before I could count without making mistakes.

Does your bank allow you to write out your checks in base twelve?

Learning a different base system is like learning a different language of numbers. I learned the basic concepts of math well before I was a teenager. I now think in several different number systems. In ten and twelve I'm very confortable. There are several other base systems that I use daily that I'm not so good at yet because I don't know the multiplication charts yet.

My husband also is a whiz. Talk about sleeping through calculas and trig in college and acing them. Though he does not use it everyday anymore, if you are a person who is able to do this, you are most likely a person of black and white. Life is very simple, uncomplicated because you are able to break it down to numbers. Don't need all the in between stuff. Kind of like the show 'Numbers' on CBS I think it is. Numbers - math the only perfect languge? I don't know maybe so. Because you can put everything into a numberical relationship. Does seem to clear out a lot of clutter from the mind. Dear Pani Rose, It's easy... 1) Pick it up...if you have not seen it in (5) years, proceed to 2) Throw it out 3)do the above before children, spouse, etc see what you are up to! Most priests that I know tell it like it is.
Those who smoke are told that it is "slow suicide" and a very serious sin.
Eating foods to which one is allergic is also labeled "suicidal behavior".
So is drinking or doing drugs or eating sweets and becoming obese.

I agree, smoking is like a 'slow suicide' and a very grave sin. Not mentioning the passive smoking. I know that in the USA it is forbiden to smoke in public places, but here... Here, for smoking, it is given a canon at the Confession by the Father Confessor, for a time, the smoker being not blessed to partake the Holy Eucharisty. Well, I had for a long time the habitude of drinking Coca Cola, and it was not too smart...

Smoking can be such a bad addiction. An in-law of mine could not break the habit until she was on oxygen (there are those who don't even then). She had terminal emphezema. I remember years before when cautioned about the dangers of smoking she said, "Well, if I die from it I will die happy." She did not die happy. She took her own life towards the end with an overdose of medication. God have mercy... Any negative addiction can lead to a bad place. In Christ, Porter.

My priest now has lung cancer. I think he stopped smoking. Whenever I do an addiction healing my underarms smell like I haven't had a bath in months. I had this after talking to another priest on June 5th. Two hours after church I really needed to bathe. It came out in conversation on the 5ht that I wasn't praying much for my priest. (It's because I have weakness in my prayer life and seldom pray alone..I also live alone) The substutite priest looked me in the eye and told me to pray for my priest. I'm trying to get in the habit of daily prayer.
