Christ is in our midst!!

I am stunned and speechless. I lifted the following from an email from The Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights of which I am a member. The article speaks of the Vatican inviting a long list of comedians to meet with the Pope. Most are people who have mocked the Church, her teachings, the Eucharist, Christ Himself. Americans who have been invited include Jim Gaffigan, Conan O’Brien, Chris Rock, Tig Notaro and Whoopi Goldberg.

That fact that the Pope within the past week and a half nominated three cardinals who are openly supportive of the LGBTQ agenda to the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith and who has suggested a rewrite of the Catechism of the Catholic Church does not give one any solace.

"On the Dicastery for Culture and Education are Jean-Claude Hollerich, archbishop of Luxembourg, and Cardinal Joseph Tobin, archbishop of Newark.
Hollerich has said that the official Catholic teaching on homosexuality is 'no longer correct.' Cardinal Tobin agrees, saying the language is 'very unfortunate.'"

In charity, how are Byzantine Catholics, and all Eastern Catholics, supposed to view this bizarre behavior from Modern Rome?

Rome seems to be fraying. Are Byzantine clerics speaking out?
