Christ is Risen from the dead. Conquering death by His death. And to those in the sepulchres, He granted life.

Alleluia! Y'all!!!!

He is Risen as He said!

Alleluia!

Happy Easter to all who celebrate His rising from the dead today. Blessings to those who look forward to the celebration in near future!

May he bring hope to the hopeless and peace to the world which finds itself in such turmoil.

Steve

Mor Ephrem,
How about a translation of" Mshiho qom!
Bashriro qom!'
for us linguistically challenged folk ?

And as for And now I can eat a roast beef sandwich again... wink don't overdo it yet. :p My caffeine level is slowly building up to its norm - the last 2 weeks have been very very difficult mad

Dear Angela,

Christ is risen! (I have to get myself into the habit of saying that more...)

Everything I wrote in foreign languages is "Christ is risen! Indeed, He is risen!"; the first language that you quoted was Syriac, the second Malayalam. I trust you know the third. :p

And, and...THE ROAST BEEF SANDWICH HAS JUST BEEN EATEN! biggrin

Dear Angela,

See also the list on international greetings, under "News"(forum #1) entitled "Pascha Greetings". Robert Tallick posted this last year.

To all but especially all "traditionalists" who follow the "Western Church's" determination for Pascha and who use the "South-West Rus' recension of the Constantinopolitan Church Tradition:

"Christos voskrese iz mertvych,* smertiju smert' poprav,* i sushchym vo hrob'ich* zhivot darovav!"

Christos Voskrese! Voistinnu Voskrese! (x3)

"Da voskresnet Boh, i rastochatsja vrazy Jeho,* i da b'izhat ot lica Jeho nenavid'ashchiji Jeho!"
