Does anyone here know anything about the Maronite Monks of Adoration in Mass?

I have been contemplating the monastic life lately and may go visit them. Anyone who has heard anything positive or negative, I would be thankful for your opinion.

God Bless.

I was actually there on retreat for a long weekend about 1 year ago. It was my first exposure to the Maronite Church.

I was very impressed by their monastic lifestyle. Their liturgies are beautiful, reverential and I found the whole experience very sweet and consoling.

They have a wonderful retreat house and I would encourage you to go check them out.

God bless.

John

Shlomo Lkhoolkhoon,
To follow up on what John said, since our Church was founded by a monastic, not only are our monasteries very reverent during the Divine Liturgies, but our Churches too.

For those in the Mid-West we have a monastery in SD.

Poosh BaShlomo Lkhoolkhoon,
Yuhannon

Thank you all very much for replying. They really do look good and I think I will be going to check them out soon.

No one posted anything negative.....thats also a good sign. Many Latin Monasteries here are into buddhism and other such things and it is a real turnoff.

I was going to contact you Yuhannon, as you were the only person that I know of on here that is Maronite. I live near the Shrine of Our loady of Lebanon in Youngstown Ohio. Have you ever been there? BTW do you know where I could get an icon of Saint Charbel?

God Bless
