Does anyone know where I could find the text of the novena to St. Elijah. It was posted in this site by Fr. Gregory and I have searched top to bottom. It seems I cannot find the text in this site. Thanks.

I'm sorry, I typed "Novena to Elijah" into my internet search engine, and didn't find anything. Hopefully someone else will have it here...

Do you have a devotion to him? My sister does... she has an icon of him. :-)

Actually, if you want a REALLY efficacious prayer to St Elijah the Prophet of Carmel, here is an Eastern Canon to him that we say for forty days straight, in case of necessity:

Thanks for the link. Yes, I have seen that. What I was looking for is the one that Fr. Gregory revised wherein he used that canon and later ended with the prayer to OL Mt. Carmel. I was looking into the threads of the Internet Carmelite Community but it seems I cannot find the necessary postings. I was planning to add that prayers to our TOC region's website.

On another side, how do you pray that canon. I am quite a loss with it.

You can just read it as is. There is also a really wonderful akathist to Our Lady of Mount Carmel somewhere here . . . you should use it too, it's really super!

We EC's believe that ANY prayer when said frequently and for a long period of time (thus, 40 days) is efficacious with God!
